SHOT AT HISTORY 🏈

February 5, 2024

Patrick Mahomes has already made history quite a bit so far in his storied NFL career. He now has a chance to pull off something that has never been done in Super Bowl history.

The Chiefs are currently +2 against the 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII. If they close as underdogs on Sunday, they would only be the fourth team ever to be underdogs in consecutive Super Bowls 😮 (according to Action Network).

The previous three teams were the 1974-75 Vikings, 1992-94 Bills and 2014-15 Seahawks, as that trio went a combined 1-6 in those Super Bowls as underdogs (2014 Seahawks were the only winners).

If Mahomes and Co. can upset the 49ers like they did against the Eagles last year, they would be the first team ever to win consecutive Super Bowls as underdogs 🐶.
