WHAT ARE THE ODDS?

The Dolphins and Cowboys are currently the biggest longshots to draft Will Levis at +2500 each.

Thirty-one players were selected in the first round, though the biggest storyline last night was one who didn’t ❌ get drafted. After Bryce Young, C.J. Stroud and Anthony Richardson all went in the first four picks, many figured that Will Levis would hear his name called shortly after. Instead, the Kentucky quarterback slid all the way out of the first round.

There are also a couple Levis props up at PointsBet (available in IN, CO, MI, KS, NJ, IL) for tonight. He’s -500 chalk to be selected before Hendon Hooker (+300). The Titans are +200 favorites to draft Levis, followed by the Rams (+350), Raiders (+800), Lions (+1200) and Buccaneers (+1200).

Using actual PointsBet draft odds and hypothetical odds from our traders, just how surprising was Levis’ drop?

Shortest Levis odds to be first pick: +175 (this past Tuesday)

Shortest Levis odds to be second pick: -150 (earlier part of this week)

Closing Levis odds to be fourth pick: -500

Hypothetical odds Levis falls outside top 5: +600

Hypothetical odds Levis falls outside top 10: +1200

Hypothetical odds Levis falls outside first round: +4000

It’s Day 28 for Bonus Bets, so we cooked up an NBA SGP (+425) from Kings-Warriors [8 p.m. ET].

  • Kings +7.5 (-110) – Sacramento needs a win to stay alive and has posted a 10-4 record against the spread in its last 14 matchups after a loss.
  • Over 235 points (-110) – These teams combined for 239 points in Game 5 despite both of them shooting under 30% from outside the arc.
  • Stephen Curry Over 31.5 points (-115) – The Warriors star has dropped at least 30 points in four games this series. That includes 31 in Game 5 despite hitting just 2-of-10 three-pointers.

EXPERT PICKS

NBA host Kazeem "Kaz" Famuyide and Max Meyer have picks from the hardwood, while PointsBet client/pucks expert Qordaseus "Q" Alexander has us covered for hockey.

THE NBA HOST

Kings +7.5 (-110) @ Warriors [8 p.m. ET]
"I don’t think the Kings will go down without a fight and they have the offensive firepower to match the champs at home."
Grizzlies +4.5 (-110) @ Lakers [10:30 p.m. ET]
"Ja Morant and Desmond Bane have found their offensive touch, and something tells me they’ve found their confidence too. It’ll be a nervous arena and that ultimately gives Memphis the edge."

THE SENIOR EDITOR

Warriors' Kevon Looney Over 17.5 Rebounds + Assists (+105)
"Looney has been a monster this series. He’s averaged 18.7 rebounds the past three games, which would cash this prop alone. The cherry on top? He’s also dropped 22 assists (7.3 APG) from Games 3-5."

THE ICE MAN

Stars ML (-105) @ Wild [9:30 p.m. ET]
"The Stars have been great at defending their own zone and Jake Oettinger found his groove with a shutout in Game 5. The Wild's 5-on-5 has struggled all season and, to make matters worse, they’re not scoring on the power play (3/20)."

ACTION REPORT

PointsBet Data and Insights

Many clients must have been impressed with the Eagles’ haul last night. It’s certainly not a terrible strategy by Howie Roseman to add two more players from one of the best college defenses in recent memory. No. 9 selection Jalen Carter and No. 30 pick Nolan Smith are now reunited with Jordan Davis and Nakobe Dean in Philadelphia.

From the start of last night’s draft to this morning, the Eagles (+800) drew more bets and money to win Super Bowl LVIII than every other NFL team COMBINED❗

PointsBet Data and Insights

TIP-OFF: 10:30 p.m. ET

KEY STATS: LeBron James and Anthony Davis have combined to grab 26 rebounds per game this series. Memphis is shooting 42.2% from the floor in the postseason, the lowest of all 16 playoff teams.

TRENDING: Lakers are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games after a loss, and the over is 10-3 in their last 13 overall. Grizzlies are 7-22 ATS in their last 29 road games vs. an opponent with a winning record.

INSIGHTS: Most clients think this series ends tonight, with the Lakers seizing 71% of the tickets and 78% of the handle among all moneyline wagers. For the total, the over has snagged 77% of the tickets but only 55% of the handle.

TOP PROP: The over for LeBron James rebounds has been so popular that the number has shifted ⬆️ from 9.5 to now 10.5 (over +105/under -140). James has hauled in 12.4 rebounds per game this series, so it’s not a big shock that this prop has drawn the most handle.
