NATTY NIGHT

MARQUEE MATCHUP 📺

Fanatics Sportsbook Presented by PointsBet data and insights

OPENING KICKOFF: 7:30 p.m. ET

KEY FACTS: Washington is the first team in the Division 1 era (since 1973) to play 10 straight games decided by 10 points or fewer and win them all 🤯. Michigan’s defense is best in the country in both points per game (10.2) and yards per game (243.1) allowed.

MAKING MOVES: Michigan opened as a 5-point favorite and was immediately bet down to -4.5. After briefly touching -4, Michigan crept back up to -4.5 and stayed there until Sunday. Then the Wolverines rose back to -5, which is where the line currently resides. Meanwhile, the total sits at 56 after starting out at 55 and reaching as high as 56.5.

MONITORING MONEYLINE: The Wolverines are currently priced at -221 to win the national title and have come away with 53.5% of the tickets among all moneyline bets in this matchup. The underdog 🐶 Huskies (+180), however, have the edge with 53.8% of all moneyline handle. Washington moneyline has also drawn the most handle of any wager for the national title game.

EXPERT PICKS

Max Meyer shares his favorite play for the national championship, while Ariel Epstein has us covered on the hardwood with two NBA player props.

THE SENIOR EDITOR

Michigan -5 (-110) vs. Washington [7:30 p.m. ET]
“Washington’s run defense ranks 129th in success rate and 130th in EPA/rush. Michigan is T-15 in sacks in the country and its pass rush dominated Alabama. This feels like a game where the Wolverines control the line of scrimmage.”

THE PROP QUEEN

Rockets G Jalen Green Over 18.5 Points (-115) [7:30 p.m. ET]
“Green is scoring 20.2 PPG against top-10 defenses this season. Lead guards have averaged 21 points in the last five games against the Heat, who have been without Jimmy Butler.”
Jazz G Collin Sexton Over 17.5 Points (-115) [8 p.m. ET]
“Sexton is putting up 23 PPG against bottom-10 defenses this campaign. The Bucks have struggled with perimeter defense all season long thanks to the Damian Lillard trade.”

ATS ATMS

TREND IS YOUR FRIEND 🏈

The Lions have gone 35-16 against the spread over the past three seasons, the best three-year ATS stretch since the Patriots from 2016-18.

The Lions 🦁 came through once again with a 30-20 victory over the Vikings as 3.5-point favorites in Week 18.

Detroit finished this season with a 12-5 mark against the spread, just edging out the Buccaneers, Browns and Ravens for the top spot with those three teams all ending up at 11-6 ATS.

This is the second consecutive year that Dan Campbell’s crew finished with the NFL’s best against the spread mark, as Detroit also went 12-5 last season.

If you think the Lions can stay covering kings 👑 in the playoffs, Detroit is currently 3.5-point home chalk over the Rams.

DON'T DOUBT DEBOER

COACHES CORNER 📋

Tonight will be the fourth game this season that Kalen DeBoer and Washington close as underdogs, along with +1.5 at Oregon State, +10 vs. Oregon in the Pac-12 Championship Game and +3.5 vs. Texas in the CFP semifinals.

Don’t doubt Kalen DeBoer. Washington’s head honcho has a career head coaching record of 104-11 😮 and has led the Huskies to the longest current winning streak in the country at 21 games.

Since arriving in Seattle last season, DeBoer’s Huskies have closed as underdogs in five games. Not only has Washington covered all five of those contests, the Huskies also won them all outright.
