We’ve entered July, meaning we’re one month closer to football season kicking off. To help speed up the timeline, we have our daily NFL betting reports. We’ll be highlighting the betting action for individual teams in four Hustles per week, sorting them out by division.

We move on to our third AFC North squad this week with the Browns.

Odds: Opened +5000 (T-19th), currently +3500 (T-14th)
Action: 1.7% tickets (15th), 1.6% handle (17th)

Odds: 9.5 (Over +110, Under -135)
Action: Under 54% tickets, Under 74% handle

Odds: Opened +400 (3rd), currently +350 (3rd)
Action: 20.2% tickets (3rd), 31.5% handle (2nd)

Deshaun Watson had a lackluster debut season in Cleveland, but his NFL MVP odds have moved from +3000 to +2500. Despite ranking outside of the top 10 in tickets for NFL MVP, Watson sneaks in at ninth for handle at 3.5%.

Meanwhile, Nick Chubb is generating strong interest for Offensive Player of the Year. Cleveland’s bruiser has OPOY odds of +2200 after first being priced at +2500. With Kareem Hunt no longer in town, Chubb has captured the second-most handle at 13.3%, only surpassed by Jets wideout Garrett Wilson (+2000).

Ariel Epstein nailed both of her MLB picks last night, and she looks to keep it rolling today. Daniel Parisi has his eye on a Wimbledon underdog for tomorrow that already has pulled off an upset.

Rangers @ Red Sox Over 10 Runs (-110) [7:10 p.m. ET]
“The velocity on Rangers flamethrower Nathan Eovaldi’s four seamer is down, and he had a 5.26 ERA in 10 starts at Fenway as a member of the Red Sox last season. Boston is sending out Kutter Crawford, who has a 5.40 ERA at home versus 2.91 on the road.”

Wimbledon: Jiri Vesely ML +114 v. Christopher O’Connell (Friday, 5 a.m. ET)
“Vesely just dispatched the highly regarded Sebastian Korda over 4 sets. If he can serve at 70% once again, he’ll be tough to break.”

It's tough to argue that Marvin Harrison Jr. isn't the best WR in the country, and his Heisman odds are all the way down to +1800.

Summer and schoolusually don’t mix too well, but in this instance, it’s an ideal time to take a look at the college football landscape.

This week belongs to the Big Ten, and we have Max Meyer’s favorite under bet in the conference. If Ohio State fans already weren’t happy with Max after yesterday’s Michigan over 10.5 wins pick, he’s making more enemies in Columbus today.

Ohio State Under 10.5 Wins (-115)

Uncertainty at Quarterback

Ohio State had stellar play under center in the past five years with Dwayne Haskins, Justin Fields and C.J. Stroud. Now it’s a true battle between Kyle McCord and Devin Brown, and neither is running away with the starting job. The saying often goes that if you have two quarterbacks, you really have none.

Shaky Offensive Line

The winner of the McCord/Brown battle won’t be playing behind last season’s offensive line. That group allowed a 2.8% sack rate (11th-best in CFB), as Stroud wasn’t pressured too often and got the ball out quickly. Last year’s starting tackles Dawand Jones and Paris Johnson Jr. are both gone, and Ohio State had to bring in a San Diego State transfer after a poor showing from its tackles at the spring game.

Not Many Breaks on the Schedule

The new starting quarterback gets a major early test by having to play at Notre Dame on Sept. 23. The Buckeyes get a bye after that showdown, but then it’s eight straight weeks without any breaks. That includes back-to-back contests hosting Penn State and going to Wisconsin in late October, while the final game is in the Big House as a likely underdog to Michigan.

We’ve already touched upon our favorite over and under bets for the Big Ten, but how about the conference odds for the top contenders?

Ohio State (+170): Ryan Day is feeling some pressure , but at least he has the best receiving corps in the country to help.

Michigan (+175): The two-time defending conference champs enter 2023 with one of the nation’s best RB + OL combinations led by Blake Corum.

Penn State (+550): Has Sean Clifford actually left State College after six years? If so, the job falls to former 5-star recruit Drew Allar.

Wisconsin (+750): The Air Raid is coming to Madison in the Luke Fickell era as the Badgers veer from the run, run, pass, punt game script.

Iowa (+1200): All the Hawkeyes have to do is score 25 PPG and OC Brian Ferentz earns a higher allowance.

Minnesota (+3000): The last time the Gophers secured 9+ wins in three consecutive seasons? Try 1903-1905.
