BATTLE OF THE MOCKS: With differing opinions at #2
EXPERT PICKS: Kaz and Max have their basketball bets
️♂️ POWER RANKINGS: The biggest longshots to win the NBA title
MARKET MOVERS: Cincinnati is Reds-hot on the diamond
We asked hoops guru Kazeem “Kaz” Famuyide for his mock draft for tonight’s first five picks. Kaz’s picks at #1, #4 and #5 line up exactly ✅ with the current betting favorites for each selection at PointsBet. But there is some division at #2 and #3.
Brandon Miller was heavy -625 chalk to be the second pick earlier today, with Scoot Henderson next at +370. That gap had closed significantly throughout the morning, then a Shams Charania tweet saying Henderson was gaining serious momentum to go #2 flipped the market.
After re-opening at Henderson -600 and Miller +400, Henderson is now positioned at -250 with Miller at +180.

THE NBA HOST
NBA Draft Third Pick: Scoot Henderson (+200)
“I think all signs are pointing to a Trail Blazers rebuild, and I think all signs are pointing to that rebuild being centered around the drafting of Scoot Henderson.”
NBA Draft Fifth Pick: Ausar Thompson (-170)
“The evolution of Overtime Elite and the development of the Thompson twins will make for a historic night. They’ll become the first siblings to be top-10 picks, and I think they’ll both go in the top 5."
THE SENIOR EDITOR
Chicago Sky +2.5 (-110) vs. Washington Mystics [8 p.m. ET]
“The Sky’s home/road splits have been drastic. They have the second-best home Offensive Rating and second-worst road OFFRTG. The only team worse? That would be the Mystics.”
Minnesota Lynx +4.5 (-115) vs. Connecticut Sun [8 p.m. ET]
“We love WNBA home dogs, so let’s double up on them. This is the Sun’s third road game in five days, and they just lost their star big Brionna Jones to a leg injury.”
PointsBet is offering NO JUICE® ODDS on the run line and total for tonight’s battle between the Mariners and Yankees. Make sure to take advantage during tonight’s Power Hour starting at 6 p.m. ET.

It’s time to finish up 2024 NBA title odds with the biggest longshots, and you’ll be hearing a lot of these teams early on in tonight’s NBA Draft. Unfortunately, it may end up being their best day for some time.
Bulls (+12500): With Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan starring, the Bulls are in the position that no teams envy—not good enough to truly compete but not bad enough to rebuild for the future.
Trail Blazers (+12500): Portland is the key team for how the direction of draft night will end up. Will they trade Damian Lillard, deal away the No. 3 pick or end up keeping both?
Spurs (+15000): We’re just hoping that ESPN doesn’t have daily ‘First Take’ segments about whether Victor Wembanyama is a bust if San Antonio doesn’t win it all in his rookie year.
Rockets (+20000): The Rockets landed the fourth pick in a three-player draft, and this was after their selection of Jabari Smith Jr. looking shaky after Year 1.
Jazz (+25000): The Jazz finished with a far better record than expected after their roster teardown last offseason. And they’re just getting started with their treasure☠️ trove of picks.
Pacers (+35000): Indiana’s backcourt duo of Tyrese Haliburton and Bennedict Mathurin is set. With Rick Carlisle at the helm, the Pacers will be a contender sooner rather than later.
Magic (+35000):Franz Wagner and Paolo Banchero already are franchise cornerstones, and Orlando has two top-11 draft picks and money to spend on key free agents this offseason.
Hornets (+50000): What’s happening with pick No. 2? Charlotte is in need of talent outside of LaMelo Ball. No pressure for Michael Jordan’s final draft in charge of the Hornets.
Pistons (+50000): It’s okay, Detroit sports fans: the Lions are the NFC North favorites. At least the Pistons have another top-five pick to build on Cade Cunningham and Jaden Ivey.
Wizards (+50000): If you’re a talented Wizards player reading this, you’re probably getting traded if it didn’t happen already.
The Reds won their 11th straight game yesterday, the longest streak for the ballclub since 1957. That’s right, Elly De La Cruz and Co. just accomplished something that the Big Red Machine didn’t.
Now Cincinnati finds itself atop the NL Central standings and up 1.5 games over the second-place Brewers. That’s quite a turnaround from even a month ago. Milwaukee is still the -106 favorite to capture the NL Central crown, while Cincinnati possesses the second-lowest odds.
