MASTERS MOVEMENT

STOCK UP, STOCK DOWN

Brooks Koepka has seen his Masters odds nearly halved over the past few days.

Recent Masters odds shifts:

STOCK UP

Tony Finau +2800 ➡️ +2000: Short of Tiger and Rory McIlroy, would there be a more popular champion?

Brooks Koepka +6000 ➡️ +3300: Crushed it in 2019 (T2) and 2020 (T7) and then invisible (missed cuts) in last two Masters.

STOCK DOWN

Cameron Smith +1800 ➡️ +2500: The formula for an odds surge? Mediocre finishes (T5, T24, T26) in mediocre LIV events.

Tiger Woods +5500 ➡️ +7500: About equal to his odds in 1996, when he played as an amateur and missed the cut. He did better the next year.

STOCK UP AND DOWN

Corey Conners +6600 ➡️ +5000: Whoa Canada! Conners coming in hot off Texas Open win, but his odds have cooled from +3500 early in week.

EXPERT PICKS

Ariel Epstein and Max Meyer have diamond-level plays, while Teddy Greenstein tees off some Masters best bets.

THE EDITOR

Brooks Koepka (+750) Group L Winner
“We’re 'phading' Phil (+5000) among the 2 LIV Crew and going with a player who wants to remind America he ain’t dead yet.”
ZIRE GOLF NAME A BET: Tiger & Phil to Both Make the Cut (+175)
“Phil has made five straight, and Tiger is Tiger. With top 50 and ties advancing and past champions such as Mike Weir in the field, I’ll take my chances on this fun one.”

THE PROP QUEEN

Guardians @ A’s under 3.5 runs F5 (-125) [9:40 p.m. ET]
“Shane Bieber is a southern California native and has posted a 2.36 ERA in four career starts in his home state.”

THE INCOMING EDITOR

Diamondbacks ML +130 @ Padres [4:10 p.m. ET]
“This is a fade of Yu Darvish, who was last seen serving up a Kyle Schwarber moonshot in the WBC. I like D-Backs ace Zac Gallen to bounce back after he was roughed up by the Dodgers in his first start.”

To take advantage of today’s Bonus Bet, here’s an NBA SGP (+650) we cooked up for Celtics-76ers (8 p.m. ET).

  • 76ers -2.5 (-110): Philadelphia is 5-1 ATS in its last six games coming off a loss. The 76ers just got drubbed by Milwaukee.
  • Under 227.5 (-110): Both ‘D’s rank inside the top five in opponent 3-point shooting percentage, and the Celts could be without Jaylen Brown (back).
  • Joel Embiid Under 0.5 Made 3-pointers (+145): He’s 2-for-10 from deep in three matchups against Boston, so why not add this leg at plus ➕ money?

TIGER WATCH

PointsBet Data and Insights

Woods enters the Masters as a +7500 longshot, the worst odds of his career at Augusta National. Here are other Tiger markets we’re eyeing️.

  • Top 10 (+550): Twenty-nine golfers have better odds, and Tiger’s last top-10 finish came in January 2020 at Torrey Pines (Farmers Insurance Open).
  • Top 20 (+230): Tiger cracked the top 20 in three of his last six Masters appearances dating back to 2013 (47th last year).
  • First Round Leader (+4500): Tiger has shot a combined 7-under in Round 1 over his last three Masters.

Ask The Trader: “My feel on why clients aren’t rallying around Tiger is because they don’t believe in his physical abilities over the course of the week. Tiger making the cut and finishing in the top 40/50 would be a successful ✅ week for him.” – Kevin Lawler, Head of Trading

LIVin' It Up at Augusta

POWER RANKINGS️‍♂️

If Dustin Johnson wins this week, he'd be the 18th golfer to collect multiple Green Jackets.

Here are the LIVers with the best shot to win the unofficial tourney within a tourney:

Dustin Johnson +400: His game was made for Augusta, and the Green Jacket he donned in 2020 proves it.

Cameron Smith +450: The Mullet Man put some heat on Scottie Scheffler last year before rinsing his iron on No. 12.

Brooks Koepka +750: He was +1600 for a hot second. And then the love — and cash — poured in on Brooksie, who won last week in Orlando.

Joaquin Niemann +900: Sooo talented. And yet this is the first time we’ve uttered or written ✍️ his name this year.

Patrick Reed +1100: Don’t sue us ⚖️, Patrick, but we’re putting our money elsewhere.

Mito Pereira +1400: Not sure we’ve recovered from his drive on the 72nd hole at the PGA Championship.

CRAZIEST BETTING MOMENTS

BEST OF THE BEST

The ending of Gonzaga-TCU will forever live in sports betting lore.

Move over “One Shining Moment,” here were the three top betting moments from this March Madness.

Honorable Mention: Wisconsin vs. North Texas under 115

We pay attention to the NIT too. The live total reached as high as 144.5 with both offenses rolling in the first half. Then Wisconsin choked away a lead by getting bageled in the final nine minutes.

3. Kansas State 2H (+1) vs. Michigan State

Markquis Nowell’s game-clinching steal with under 5 seconds left secured an Elite Eight bid for K-State. His layup at the buzzer off that swipe secured eternal pain for second-half MSU backers (Kansas State up 5 at half, won by 5).

2. San Diego State -5.5 vs. Charleston

If you bet college basketball, you know all about fouls in the final seconds. The Cougars fouled down 4 with a mere 0.7 seconds left, and the Aztecs knocked down both FTs.

1. TCU +4.5 vs. Gonzaga

TCU bettors thought they were doomed after the Horned Frogs fouled Gonzaga with 0.7 seconds left down 4. Damion Baugh then delivered the best non-Lamont Butler buzzer beater of the tournament.

Top-20 – Kevin Na +550

  • He has five top 15’s in his last nine Masters appearances, including a 13th, 12th, and 14th in his past three trips to Augusta. His familiarity with the slick greens gives the 11th-ranked putter on tour his best chance to contend at a major.
