HELLOOO HEISMAN

ASK THE TRADER 🤔

Fanatics Sportsbook Presented by PointsBet data and insights

There are four clear contenders in the Heisman race as we enter the home stretch of the college football regular season. Bo Nix is the -110 favorite, followed by Michael Penix Jr. at +300, Jayden Daniels at +400 and Marvin Harrison Jr. at +450. No one else has odds lower than +3300.

Incredibly, one of those top four had +5000 Heisman odds just last week 😮. But then Daniels made history last weekend against Florida by becoming the first FBS player ever with 350+ passing yards and 200+ rushing yards in the same game.

We talked with trader Wyatt Satre about Daniels’ big jump and if the LSU 🐯 QB can win the award despite his team’s 7-3 record.

ASK THE TRADER: Our odds were too high on Daniels last week, we overreacted a bit to his injury against Alabama. Even with his incredible stats, Daniels likely needs some of the top contenders to lose games down the stretch. Given that LSU doesn’t get to play in the SEC Championship Game, it could really hurt Daniels’ chances if the other top guys get that stage. The only Heisman winner in the last 5 years that lost 3 games was Caleb Williams last year, and two of his losses came in the Pac-12 Championship Game and the Cotton Bowl.

EXPERT PICKS

Ariel Epstein has three NBA prop plays, including two of them on a dynamic rookie. Kazeem "Kaz" Famuyide is rolling with one favorite and one underdog for tonight's biggest CBB matchups.

THE PROP QUEEN

Heat G Kyle Lowry Over 9.5 Points (-125) [7 p.m. ET]
“Lowry has scored 17 points in back-to-back games after Tyler Herro’s injury and Herro is out again tonight. The Hornets have allowed the third-most points per game in the NBA.”
Thunder F Chet Holmgren Over 15.5 Points (-115), Double Double (+230) [7:30 p.m. ET]
“San Antonio has allowed the most points overall and to forwards. In the Spurs’ first 10 games, 12 different players have recorded a double double against them.”

THE BASKETBALL GURU

Duke -4 (-110) vs. Michigan State [7 p.m. ET]
"After a tough home loss to Arizona, I don't see the Blue Devils losing two games in a row with all the talent they have. Duke has the frontcourt edge led by Kyle Filipowski."
Kentucky +7 (-110) vs. Kansas [9:30 p.m. ET]
"Kansas is one of the best teams in the country, but this line is too high against another very talented team. Kentucky's shooting the ball well and another strong effort from outside can counter Kansas' size."

COLOSSAL CLASHES

BACK TO SCHOOL 🏫

Fanatics Sportsbook Presented by PointsBet data and insights

It’s a huge night of college basketball 🏀, as there are three showdowns in Illinois between top-25 teams (two are neutral-site games at the United Center). Let’s take a look at the odds and action for each of them.

Michigan State vs. Duke [7 p.m. ET]
SPREAD: Opened Duke -3.5, now Duke -4
ACTION: Duke 73.8% tickets, Duke 59.7% handle
BOTTOM LINE: Sparty has failed to cover its first two games after shooting a miserable 2/32 from beyond the arc 🤢 this season. That includes losing outright as a 16.5-point favorite to James Madison.

Marquette at Illinois [8 p.m. ET]
SPREAD: Opened Illinois -1.5, now Illinois -2
ACTION: Illinois 64.5% tickets, 64.4% handle
BOTTOM LINE: Tyler Kolek, the reigning Big East Player of the Year, is a game-time decision after suffering an ankle injury. But Marquette coach Shaka Smart has been an ATM 🏦 against the spread as an underdog.

Kansas vs. Kentucky [9:30 p.m. ET]
SPREAD: Opened Kansas -6, now Kansas -7
ACTION: Kansas 70.6% tickets, 81.5% handle
BOTTOM LINE: Michigan transfer Hunter Dickinson is averaging 19.5 points and 8.0 rebounds in his first two games at Kansas. Kentucky won’t have any of its 7-footers available tonight to defend the big man either.
