MARKET MOVERS 📈

Fanatics Sportsbook Presented by PointsBet data and insights

Fly Eagles fly—Philadelphia 🦅 is the sole Super Bowl favorite for the first time this season.

The Eagles went from +450 to +400 after last night’s triumph in Kansas City, whereas the Chiefs swung from +400 to +450. Philly had been a Super Bowl co-favorite for one day earlier this season, when it was +450 with the Chiefs on Nov. 9.

One Eagles player got an even bigger bump in a futures market. Jalen Hurts is the NFL MVP favorite for the first time all season after jumping from +300 to +200. Patrick Mahomes entered MNF atop the board at +260, however the Chiefs QB is now tied for second at +400 with Lamar Jackson.

Who would’ve thought that the only quarterback to beat the current Super Bowl and MVP favorites this season is Zach Wilson 🤣? More on him later…

EXPERT PICKS

Kazeem "Kaz" Famuyide and Ariel Epstein are rocking with two best bets apiece for this upcoming NBA slate.

THE BASKETBALL GURU

Pacers at Hawks: Over 252.5 Points (-110) [7:30 p.m. ET]
“You ready for absolutely zero defense? The Pacers have been playing at a blistering offensive pace, led by Tyrese Haliburton. Both teams are in the top 6 in offensive rating.”
Suns G Devin Booker Over 34.5 Points + Assists (-115) [9 p.m. ET]
“I think the Suns are still trying to build chemistry and they want to get Booker going. He’s been playing more point guard and now he’s going up against a Blazers team that can’t defend anyone.”

THE PROP QUEEN

Hawks F Jalen Johnson Over 15.5 Points (-115)
“Johnson’s making a third-year leap, and he’s scored at least 16 in his past three games. The Pacers have allowed the third-most points per game (123.8) and starting small forwards are scoring 20.4 PPG against Indiana.”
Blazers C Deandre Ayton Over 9.5 Rebounds (-125)
“Revenge game alert! Ayton has snagged 10+ rebounds in six of nine games this month, while opposing teams’ leading rebounders have pulled down 10.4 rebounds per game against the Suns this month.”

TALKIN' TITLE

ACTION REPORT 📊

Fanatics Sportsbook Presented by PointsBet data and insights

It’s the final week of the college football regular season and this feels like the most wide-open title race in a long time. There are still five undefeated Power 5 teams as well as a few other one-loss contenders waiting for those squads to stumble.

Let’s take a look at which teams have drawn the most handle 💵 to win the national title.

1. Michigan (+250) 11.9%
The bad news: Georgia (+250 to +240) overtook Michigan (+200 to +250) as the title 🏆 favorite yesterday, making it the first Monday the Wolverines haven’t been atop the odds board since Oct. 9.

The good news: Michigan is 3.5-point home chalk over Ohio State, the first time in five years that the Wolverines have been favored in this rivalry.

2. Alabama (+600) 10.2%
Alabama’s longest title odds during the season came when it was +5000 on Sept. 17-18, after only scoring 17 points against South Florida. The Crimson Tide face Auburn in Saturday’s Iron Bowl at Jordan-Hare Stadium, where they’ve lost three of their last five.

3. Texas (+1200) 9.0%
Texas fans are probably annoyed to see the Longhorns with worse title odds than Alabama after winning by 10 in Tuscaloosa and with both teams sitting at 10-1. Imagine if the CFP committee had to pick between the two for the final spot if each went 12-1 and won its conference championship 🤔.

OH BOYLE

ASK THE TRADER 🤔

Fanatics Sportsbook Presented by PointsBet data and insights

How dire is the Jets’ quarterback situation? Believe it or not, the market thinks the Jets’ new starting QB is worse than Zach Wilson … by multiple points 😮.

New York was a 7.5-point home underdog to the Dolphins 🐬 on Monday morning. The Jets then decided to give the starting nod to Tim Boyle and the line currently resides at Jets +9.5.

How is it possible that any QB is a noteworthy downgrade from Wilson? We called on trader Ethan Useloff to help explain.

ASK THE TRADER: We opened this spread at -6.5 after Miami’s lackluster offensive performance against the Raiders and key injuries to Tyreek Hill and De’Von Achane. It was immediately bet up to -7.5 and then the line starting ticking up again right before the Jets announced the QB switch. Even with Wilson’s struggles, the market views Boyle as worse because he hasn’t shown much promise in college or the pros. He’s lost all three of his NFL starts and threw 26 INTs to just 12 TDs while in college at UConn and Eastern Kentucky.
