Week 0 is nearly here! There are seven games on the board for this weekend and there already have been some noteworthy odds shifts. One matchup, though, has seen both the spread and total move by multiple points.
So we asked trader Wyatt Satre to explain ????️♂️ what’s happening behind the scenes with UTEP at Jacksonville State.
ASK THE TRADER: “The spread movement isn’t as much of a deal here since it’s hovered around pick since it opened. On the total, we’ve taken some sharp action on the over last night and this morning. Jacksonville State made the jump from FCS to FBS this season, and it looks like this is an over ???? team. Jacksonville State has a high-powered spread offense lead by QB Zion Webb and head coach Rich Rodriguez, but an inexperienced defense that figures to spend a lot of time on the field.”
You’ve probably heard this crazy stat by now, but the Ravens have won an NFL-record 24 straight preseason games (and covered 20 of them) heading into tonight’s 8 p.m. ET showdown with the Commanders.
The last time Baltimore lost a preseason affair was Sept. 3, 2015 to the Falcons. Commanders starting quarterback Sam Howell was a freshman then … in high school.
Not surprisingly, the Ravens have collected the majority of the action on the moneyline. This spread, however, has come crashing down from Ravens -5 to -1.5. Baltimore has the advantage with 67.5% of the spread tickets, but Washington has the edge in handle at 51.9%.
