ACTION REPORT

PointsBet Data and Insights

We’re a little over two weeks away from the NFL regular season kicking off and offseason action on futures has been pouring in. Let’s look ???? at which teams and players have been getting the most betting interest in various markets before the real games begin.

Here are the teams that have gotten the most action to go over their win total.

MOST POPULAR OVERS BY TICKETS

1. Bears 7.5
Not only are the Bears the leaders in this category, but they have more than twice as many over tickets as any other team.

2. Broncos 8.5
If Sean Payton can will the Broncos to this over, he should be the frontrunner for Coach of the Year.

3. Lions 9.5
As much as we dig the vibes surrounding Dan Campbell and Co., Detroit has won 10+ games only twice in the past 25 seasons ????.

MOST POPULAR OVERS BY HANDLE

1. Bears 7.5
If there’s one theme to take away from NFL offseason action, it’s that PointsBet bettors absolutely love ❤️ the Bears.

2. Commanders 6.5
Dan Snyder
being ousted has to be worth at least a win, right?

3. Falcons 8.5
Their schedule is so easy that they actually can end up winning double-digit contests even if they don’t reach the double-digit mark in pass plays per game.

EXPERT PICKS

Ariel Epstein and Daniel Parisi aim to give us a strong start to the MLB week with three best bets, including one red-hot road favorite.

THE PROP QUEEN

Braves Over 1.5 Runs in First 3 Innings (-120) [7:20 p.m. ET]
“Atlanta has scored at least 2 runs in the first 3 innings in 14 of its last 18 games. The Braves face southpaw David Peterson, and they’re slugging .534 against lefties (68 points higher than any other team).”
Reds F5 Moneyline (+115) @ Angels [9:38 p.m. ET]
“Reds starter Graham Ashcraft pitches better on the road and the Reds rank in the top 10 in road runs per game. Lucas Giolito has a 8.14 ERA in four starts since joining the Angels.”

THE AGREEABLE ACE

Mariners Run Line -1.5 (-115) @ White Sox [8:10 p.m. ET]
"The Mariners are on fire and are making a big-time move in the AL West with Julio Rodriguez batting .412 in August. Touki Toussaint gets the start for the White Sox and he has barely made it past 5 frames this year."

BACK TO SCHOOL

Week 0 is nearly here! There are seven games on the board for this weekend and there already have been some noteworthy odds shifts. One matchup, though, has seen both the spread and total move by multiple points.

So we asked trader Wyatt Satre to explain ????️‍♂️ what’s happening behind the scenes with UTEP at Jacksonville State.

ASK THE TRADER: “The spread movement isn’t as much of a deal here since it’s hovered around pick since it opened. On the total, we’ve taken some sharp action on the over last night and this morning. Jacksonville State made the jump from FCS to FBS this season, and it looks like this is an over ???? team. Jacksonville State has a high-powered spread offense lead by QB Zion Webb and head coach Rich Rodriguez, but an inexperienced defense that figures to spend a lot of time on the field.”

RAVENS ON A ROLL

PointsBet Data and Insights

You’ve probably heard this crazy stat by now, but the Ravens have won an NFL-record 24 straight preseason games (and covered 20 of them) heading into tonight’s 8 p.m. ET showdown with the Commanders.

The last time Baltimore lost a preseason affair was Sept. 3, 2015 to the Falcons. Commanders starting quarterback Sam Howell was a freshman then … in high school.

Not surprisingly, the Ravens have collected the majority of the action on the moneyline. This spread, however, has come crashing down from Ravens -5 to -1.5. Baltimore has the advantage with 67.5% of the spread tickets, but Washington has the edge in handle at 51.9%.
