After the Jaguars’ overtime loss to the Bengals, the Dolphins 🐬 are currently the No. 1 seed in the AFC. So who is the top NFL MVP candidate on Miami?
Tua Tagovailoa has the sixth-lowest MVP odds at +1000, but those are his longest odds since he was listed at +1600 before the season kicked off. Meanwhile, Tyreek Hill swung from +3300 ahead of Week 13 to his current position of +1200. This is the first time all season that a non-quarterback has had MVP odds shorter than +2000.
We brought in trader Wyatt Satre to get his thoughts 💭 on Hill’s MVP momentum.
ASK THE TRADER: Even though Tyreek has put up impressive numbers, I don’t think he has a legitimate MVP case. Historically MVP has been a QB award, so it would be an uphill climb for him to win it even if he does break the receiving yardage record. We just saw a historic triple crown from Cooper Kupp a couple seasons ago and he only received 1 of 50 MVP votes. Tyreek would have to separate himself from Tua down the stretch, which seems unlikely since they are correlated.
