The Offensive Rookie of the Year race already feels over. But is C.J. Stroud now making a push for NFL MVP?
After a big road win over the Bengals, the Texans find themselves as the No. 7 seed in the AFC playoff picture. Stroud leads the NFL in passing yards per game (291.8) 😮 and has thrown for 15 touchdowns compared to just two interceptions.
This is the first time all season that Stroud’s MVP odds aren’t in the triple digits 💯. Just six players have lower MVP odds than Houston’s rookie quarterback at +2000: Patrick Mahomes (+260), Jalen Hurts (+325), Tua Tagovailoa (+650), Lamar Jackson (+650), Joe Burrow (+1200) and Josh Allen (+1600).
The only rookie to ever win NFL MVP was Jim Brown back in 1957.
