Louisville is in a tough spot by having to get up to play a road night π game against a 1-4 Pitt team after knocking off then-No. 10 Notre Dame in a home night game the week before. The Cardinals are off to a 6-0 start, but this is only their second road game of the season and three wins were decided by one score.
Michigan State +170 at Rutgers [12 p.m. ET]
Another team that needed a bye, though Michigan State’s last two games have been somewhat encouraging. It outgained Maryland in total yards, but was done in by five turnovers and another drive stopped at the 1. Then Michigan State had a 349-222 yards advantage against Iowa, but had four turnovers and blew a fourth-quarter lead.
With Mark Dantonio having an extra week to prep for Rutgers and mold the team after a midseason coaching change from Mel Tucker, itβs a bit of a mystery π€Β how Sparty will look. He didn’t name a starting QB, meaning Rutgers had to practice for all three of them. There is rain in the Piscataway forecast for the whole game and the total is under 40, making this contest feel like more of a coin flip.
