MAKE THE CASE ⚖️

August 23, 2023

With just 15 days until the NFL season begins, many bettors are still looking ????️ for futures with value before opening kickoff. Senior editor Max Meyer is here to help by sharing his favorite division bets that are still priced at +200 or longer.

???? Ravens +225 to win AFC North
With new OC Todd Monken and wideout additions Zay Flowers ???? and Odell Beckham Jr., Baltimore could finally have a legitimate vertical passing attack. The defense completely turned it around after the midseason acquisition of Roquan Smith. The Ravens were rather unlucky last season with injuries and close games. Five of their seven losses were by 4 points or fewer and three of them featured two-score leads in the fourth quarter. This was a good team in 2022 that doesn’t need many breaks to be elite in 2023.

???? Packers +375 to win NFC North
Jordan Love is an unknown, but that works to our advantage here. Love does have a dynamic duo at tailback, an underrated receiving corps and a well-regarded offensive line to work with. The Packers have some nice pieces on defense and had a solid pass defense. But they need to improve big time against the run, though at least there are only a couple dual-threat QBs on the schedule. If Love is even an average QB, Green Bay will surprise in a wide-open division.

???? Falcons +200 to win NFC South
Even with defenses knowing that the Falcons will run the ball early and often, they still had an elite ground game. Now Atlanta adds generational talent Bijan Robinson into the fold and there should be improvement at QB with a full offseason of starter reps for Desmond Ridder. The Falcons spent a lot to improve their defensive line and hired a rising star at DC with Ryan Nielsen. Atlanta also has a fortuitous schedule with only one opponent that ranks in the top 8 in Super Bowl odds (Jets) and 9 games against teams with bottom 8 Super Bowl odds ????.
