After Brooks Koepka melted down on Masters Sunday, the temptation was to snicker: “Hey, these are not 54-hole events.”
In truth the LIV crew impressed, with Koepka and Phil Mickelson tying for second and Patrick Reed finishing T4. Which renegades do we like to be the top LIVer (listed under Tournament Groups) at the PGA Championship?
Koepka (+330): Is the event a major? Yup. Does Brooks give a bleep about anything but winning? Nope.
Dustin Johnson (+400): DJ shook off a triple bogey Sunday to win the LIV event at Tulsa, beating Cameron Smith and Brandon Grace in a playoff. He’s primed.
Reed (+1100): He’s the equivalent of a Draw in soccer. There’s good value because no one wants to bet it.
Mickelson (+2200): For spits and giggles. There’s no way the emaciated 52 year old can still contend in a major (again), right?
