WHY WE’LL WATCH: Watching golf on a Wednesday feels like we’re cutting class. Which was – sorry, mom – a good time. Jon Rahm is favored to win his third consecutive PGA Tour event, which has happened just 18 times since 1997. (Tiger Woods accounts for 14.)
COURSE INFO: Those making the cut will play the South three times and the North once at famed Torrey Pines, which hosted the 2021 US Open. The South is longer with smaller greens and movement on 13 of 14 tee shots. The North has the beefier par-3s.
THE FAVES: Rahm (+450), Xander Schauffele (+900) and Tony Finau (+1o00) opened as favorites.
