After seeing Purdy and Jacksonβs massive MVP odds shifts from Ravens-49ers on MNF, should we expect to see something similar from the result of Dolphins-Ravens? We asked football trader Jake Fisher for his thoughts π.
ASK THE TRADER: Usually a tight MVP race will be decided by key performances during the final weeks of the regular season. While we don’t expect another outlier performance like Purdy’s four INTs on MNF, the odds will shift dramatically following this key Dolphins-Ravens matchup. A Ravens victory would lock up the AFC’s No. 1 seed for Baltimore and provide Lamar with a clear path to his second MVP. A Dolphins upset would give Miami a path to the top seed if it can take down Buffalo in a major Week 18 matchup, giving Tua Tagovailoa (+1600) and Tyreek Hill (+1200) plenty of life in this race. Currently, our trading room is protecting against Lamar and Josh Allen (+700) because of current liability and media attention.
