WHY WE’LL WATCH: The first full-field PGA Tour event since pre-Thanksgiving features some players who took a 37-minute flight️ from last week’s Sentry event. Hideki Matsuyama defends his title after shooting 23-under, outlasting Russell Henley in a playoff.
COURSE INFO: Honolulu’s Waialae CC is short (7,020 yards, par-70) and tight with doglegs and 83 bunkers.
THE FAVS: With only seven of the world’s top 25 playing, here are the top five: Tom Kim (+1100), Sungjae Im (+1200), Jordan Spieth (+1600) Brian Harman (+1600) and Matsuyama (+2000).
BET TO CONSIDER: Kim Top 5 (+250). He finished fifth last weekend, and eight of the last nine Sony Open champs warmed up at the Sentry.
